Find Song Name doesn't have user accounts, logins, or passwords. You don't provide a name, email address, or any personal details to use it.

What happens when you paste a link

When you submit a video link, the server fetches a short audio clip from it and sends that clip to a third-party audio-recognition service (ACRCloud) to identify the song. If a platform tags the video with its own official track information (for example, TikTok's "sound" metadata), that may be used directly instead of, or alongside, the audio match. To fill in artwork, album details, and streaming links, the song's title and artist may also be looked up against Apple's iTunes Search API and Deezer's public search API.

The downloaded audio clip is temporary: it's deleted from the server immediately after the identification request finishes, whether or not a match was found. It is not stored, logged, or reused for any other purpose.

What's stored in your browser

The homepage keeps a short "recent finds" list (up to 5 items) using your browser's local storage, so your last few results are still visible if you revisit the page. This stays entirely on your device — it's never sent to the server or to any third party, and clearing your browser data removes it.

No analytics or advertising trackers

This site does not run analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking cookies.

Hosting logs

Like effectively any website, requests to this site pass through hosting infrastructure that may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and request timestamps) for security and reliability purposes. This is routine web infrastructure behavior, not something specific to or controlled by Find Song Name.

Third-party services

Identifying a song necessarily involves sending data to services outside this site: the platform hosting the video (to fetch the clip), ACRCloud (for audio recognition), and Apple/Deezer (for enrichment lookups). Each of those services handles the data it receives under its own privacy practices, which this site doesn't control.
